    Reference Union Public Service Commission’s Advertisement No.02, Item No.09 published on 23.1.2010 with closing date of receipt of applications as 11.02.2010 (18.2.2010 for applications from abroad and those posting applications from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep,States in the North Eastern Region, J&K State. Sikkim, Pangi Sub-division of Chamba District,Lahaul & Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh), for recruitment to twenty (20) posts of Education Officer/Assistant Director of Education in the Directorate of Education, Government of N.C.T. of Delhi.

     The Commission have now decided to conduct a Recruitment Test for filling up these posts on 29.04.2012 (Sunday) from 02.00 PM to 04.00 PM at Delhi.

I. The Scheme of the Test:

1) The test will be of two hours duration and the medium of the question paper will be both Hindi and English
2) The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answers and will carry a maximum of 100 marks
3) There will be penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

II. Syllabus of the Test comprises the following:

1) General Knowledge including contemporary social, economic and cultural issues
2) Hindi and English language skills
3) Reasoning ability & Quantitative aptitude
4) Educational policies & Educational measurement and evaluation
5) Management & Financial administration
6) Office procedure

                INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2011

      Following is the list, in order of merit, of the candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Forest Service based on the result of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2011; the written examination for which was held by the Union Public Service Commission in July, 2011 and the personality test in March 2012. The list contains names of 85 candidates, including 33 belonging to Other Backward Classes, 14 to the Scheduled Castes, 06 to the Scheduled Tribes. The list also contains names of 01 candidate each belonging to PH-2(Blindness or low vision) and PH-3(Hearing impairment) category.

      Appointment to the Service will be made by the Government according to the number of vacancies available and fulfilling of other criteria. The number of vacancies intimated by the Government is 85 (Eighty Five).

      The figures given before the names in the list indicate the Roll Number of the candidates.

      The candidature of thirteen candidates with Roll No. 001412, 001509, 003495, 007600,009142, 011118, 012506, 026509, 032187, 036021, 038499, 39683 & 048802 is provisional.

      UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall in its campus. Demand drafts payable at locations other than Kolkata will not be accepted.  Money Order / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable.

RESERVATION: Reservation for the post under Sl. No. 1-5 shall be made for SC / ST / OBC (A) / OBC (B) / Exempted Category / Physically Challenged candidates and for the post under Sl. c)     Those that have represented State School Teams in National Competition for Schools conducted by all India School Games Federation in any spots discipline mentioned above.

OTHER CONDITIONS: The candidates will be appointed after being found medically fit and on receipt of satisfactory police verification reports. They are liable to be transferred in any Offices/Units/Power Stations throughout West Bengal. Selected candidates will be appointed in the regular Pay Scale. Initially on probation for the period of one year, and on satisfactory completion of probationary period, they will be confirmed in regular post. Decision of the management for absorption under the Company is final and binding. Candidates having adequate knowledge in communicating in Bengali / Nepali language is preferred.

MODE OF SELECTION: Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test and Interview. Candidates called for Written Test/Interview shall not be entitled to reimbursement of travelling expenses. The Written Test & Interview will be held in Kolkata only. The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), a wholly owned Government of West Bengal Enterprise, engaged in the business of Hydel Generation, Power Distribution throughout the state of West Bengal with an Annual Turnover of around  10,000 crores and Total Employee strength of about 18,000 and Customer base around 98 lakhs, invites applications from Indian Nationals to fill up the following vacant posts.
